Hey guys!  Thank you everyone who contacted me about a user on IMVU trying to pass my work as their own. I do have an IMVU account (I think lol) but I NEVER use or used it (that I can remember).

Also, for the record, I never charge so little to draw a character or character design. My cost is usually $250 PER character (real money).   To much?  Well it really depends on if I release the rights to the character or not(aka I never can claim the character for myself through legal contracts). If I am drawing a picture for someone as a fun commission I usually charge less depending on how many characters, colored, sketched, ect ect.

Also, I am currently only on Gaiaonline ( I was a site moderator till I had Sophia).  I make my pixel dolls and sometimes draw. My drawings on Gaia can range from(we are talking Gaia gold and items here lol) 4mil-30+ mil (I got mini wings for one drawing) PER character. Also, why so much?  Well I only do maybe 3 drawings a year? If ever lol

Sorry If my prices sound steep(although some people think I charge to little to let go of the rights) ^_^; There is not enough time in the day when you have a daughter who has autism.  Even though she is not extreme, she is still a challenge and has to be watched and focused on daily.

I really am honored that Emilie Autumn took notice and linked my drawing of her ^_^  That was really sweet and I thank her so much!
I do have a twitter account, but I never use it ^_^;;;  I guess It would be a great way to show art updates, I just never can keep up with all these things @__@...

Hey Guys! Sorry I was on Vacation so I did not get a chance to update ^_^


I finally got a letter back from Sassy Studios. She still is claiming she did not trace (LULZ)  BUT she did say this:

"I am most definitely do apologize for causing any offense to you it was never my intent I was most clearly inspired by your work but never wanted to try and have it seem i was passing your work off as my own. I am more than willing to atone for any offense I have caused. So I have removed the entire wonderland set for now as a show  of good faith i guess you could say.  And if that is not sufficient I am willing to work on a resolution with you. Or if you prefer to move forward with other actions that is your choice right now I give the ball to you and I am willing to work towards resolving this. But i do apologize I never meant for any of my work to look copied from anyone else or to offend someone who i do consider to be an amazing artist."





So all the work that was taken from me was taken down. ^_^ Yay!  I just hope she learned a lesson. Will I still go after her?  Hmm  I don't know. I will if she uses ANY of that work in the future and if I catch her using anything else that is traced.  

I still am going to contact a lawyer for personal representation in case something like this happens again.

1. my father is a brilliant man, and when I told him what was going on he said to me right away... "Oh your protected under Intellectual Copyright Laws" You can read about the law here:

How would my father know this? He works for Homeland Security and they follow this law all the time(for example stolen or fake purses aka "Frada" lol )

2. "The work must be ORIGINAL."  Hmm. Well Since we already proved that MY work came first (Read So you thought I wouldn't notice Part 2) I would say that, yes,  My work IS THE ORIGINAL, and even though according to you, your work is original and drawn out, I can place your work on mine and they line up. I call that TRACING.

3. "Must result in creativity"  Well since I did all the work coming up with the ORIGINAL DESIGN I would have to say.... I guess I qualify.

So guys Like I said, read this on INTELLECTUAL COPYRIGHT. All Artist who create and Design ORIGINAL WORK are protected. So In reality, your not suppose to sell Fan Art. We know this. But when you Design a NEW Character. It is COPYRIGHTED to you. Anyone who traces, or fiddles with the ORIGINAL DESIGN and claims a profit without the knowledge or consent of the Artist are in COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT.

A 2AM RANT:
Now I'm hearing, your telling your customers and friends that you actually do NOT get inspiration from other artists? Right. You can up with all these drawings that happen to line up perfectly with my work.I mean jeez, I must be the tracer then right?  Oh wait, the art that is oddly familiar was posted in 2005-2008. You posted your work in 2009-2010. funny how that works when you have TIME STAMP.OH funny thing on the way to the forum.....Photoshop has this nifty attachment to every file when you save..you guessed it...a TIME STAMP. It can't be removed its Embedded. Lucky for me I have all my original files. I'm so glad my husband works in the professional graphics field( You should of seen the photo page for Lucas Arts during the Star Wars Convention, its one of his best!).

Also, you have inspired me too!
I have decided to go into the digital download business and sell my line art for Stamps and Scrapbooking! It will be fun! I did not know there was a market for this and since your getting money for my work, I figured I should get money for my work too! So when people wonder why our work looks oddly familiar, I wonder what will happen when I show them the originals.

Yet again I have lost my chances for a table at Megacon for I donno..the 5th year?? BLARG.

Its just bad timing yet..AGAIN. I had the money for the table put aside, but then we had to use it for medical tests for Sophia. I tried to get the extra money back up in time for the deadline, but it will eat into our vacation and Christmas fund :/

I was hoping to sell my hats but the market is just to flooded on the internet, selling them at a convention would be ideal.

There is Metrocon in Tampa. I checked out their website but it is still the 2010 information. Once is changes over I will see about getting a table there instead. :/

Hey everyone sorry for the lack of updated journal, but I finally am settled in the new house. My husband and I are saving for our own home so in the mean time we are staying in my parent's new place. Hopefully my parents will stay here till my dad retires, since I hate moving...blah!

Everything is actually going quite well knock on wood lol. We gt our finances sorted out and paid off majority of our bills, yay!

As for selling stuff of my own, everything has been so crazy I dont know, I might. I have been really involved with Sophia ( swimming classes now, and maybe dance classes later ) and I love being a mother Even though she drives me crazy sometimes, hahaha!

Enjoy my sketches! I wish I had time to make finished pictures, but I figure I should at least get the idea on paper! Besides, sketches are cool  

I hope everyone has a great New Year and I hope things get better, not just for me but for all artists!

update:
UHG I cant figure anything out! Every time I try to set things up myself I start realizing I cant do this alone. Im so worried Im not going to sell anything. I always put on a brave face and then get to a point where I doubt myself. UHHHG! I keep thinking...ok maybe $20 is to high? But then I have all the user fees to think about. Etsy takes a percent and so does paypal. And the cost to make them and how much is my time really worth to me(by the time I add everything it seems Im paying myself about $3.00 a headband...that a whole $99 if I sell all 33!) Then there is shipping... Good lord I got to buy boxes and manila envelopes! Ok then I think $20 is what I paid for my headband at megacon. But then I think...maybe mine arent that good. OMG Im freaking out. What if people dont like my stuff? What If everyone wants to return them! OMG WHAT IF!!

This is so hard! I suck at selling things! this is why I end up quitting  ;__;
